How it works

  1. 1

    Sign in with GitHub

The invitation goes to that account, so it has to be the one you will use.

  2. 2

    Pay

By card, transfer, USSD or crypto on StarkNet. Your receipt arrives by email.

  3. 3

    Accept the invitation

GitHub sends it straight away. Accept it and the repository is yours to read and fork.

Why we sell the source

WeSelling is a small team building business software for shops in Nigeria and across Africa. Selling the source pays for development and for getting WeSelling in front of more businesses. It also puts the code in front of the developers and designers who can make it better.

We run as an open company. Our numbers are public at /open for everyone, whether or not you buy anything.

Questions

Is this an investment?
No. You are buying software: the code, and the right to use it under the license. A license is not a share, a token or a claim on WeSelling's revenue, it does not gain value, and it cannot be resold.
What exactly do I get?
An invitation to the private GitHub repository holding that version's full source, with every module the hosted product runs. You can read it, fork it, run it, and open pull requests.
Can I use it for clients?
Yes. You can set it up for a client as an installation that serves that one business. What the Contributor license does not allow is running your own hosted platform that other businesses sign up to. That needs the Commercial license.
I'm a designer, not a developer. Is this for me?
Yes. Contributions are not only code. Design proposals, copy and translations are welcome as issues and pull requests, and you can run the whole product locally to design against the real thing.
Can I become a collaborator?
Everyone starts with read access: fork, then open pull requests. People whose contributions we keep merging get invited to triage or push access.
What about later versions?
Your license covers the version you bought and its fixes. Later versions are listed in the changelog, and access to them may need a new license.
How do I pay?
By card or bank transfer through Paystack or Flutterwave in naira, or with USDC, USDT or STRK on StarkNet. Dollar prices are converted to naira at the day's rate.
